The Unit 376 ALA Poppy Poster contest is for grades five through
twelve in three levels: Middle School (lower grades) Class 1; Middle
School (higher grades) Class 2, and High School. There was a first,
second, and third place in each grade category.

Prizes were gift certificates to three Oxford restaurants: Hoppie's,
The Stadium, and Joe and Vinny's (- student's choice). First place -
$25 gift certificates, second $15, and third - $10 gift certificates.
Certificates were presented at the Oxford Academy Spring Awards
evening ceremony, June 5, 2019.
Some of the posters were included in the 10th Annual Student Art
Show at 6 On the Square (at 6 LaFayette Park) in Oxford, NY. The date of
the art show reception - Thursday, May 23, 2019, was from 4 to 6 p.m.
This exhibit ran through June 2019. The winning posters were also on
display in the dining hall at the American Legion Post 376 (17 S
Washington Ave, Oxford) for a month long viewing during the Sunday Community
Breakfasts.
